Job Description

You will take on a supporting role, managing and maintaining the running of the transactional and monthly accounts.

  • Assisting with / overseeing AP & month end close
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations (euro accounts also)
  • VAT returns
  • Assisting in Monthly Management Accounts prep
  • Producing project reports & job costing information
  • Ad hoc monthly reporting

This role, while varied and interesting, does not provide study support, so as such, is not ideal for someone actively pursuing ACCA / CIMA.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experienced Assistant Accountant / Accounting Technician / Accountant with a strong track record of delivery in a fast paced SME accounts setting.
  • Hands on exposure to assisting with Monthly Management Accounts.
  • Proven ability to run AP and AR processes & perform bank reconciliations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to provide effective support to Management Accountant & FD on a day to day basis and at Month End.
  • Can do attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Great attention to detail & ability to meet deadlines.
  • Professional communication style & ability to build good work relationships across departments.
