Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the accounting and reporting for multiple complex private equity funds with exposure to both public and private investments across commercial, residential and specialty finance asset classes.
  • Monitor and maintain illiquid investments for financial accounting and reporting, including complex security accounting and income recognition, valuation and performance.
  • Contribute to the financial information for key client deliverables (investor reports, capital statements and annual audited financial statements).
  • Contribute to the management and oversight the funds’ administrator through SLAs/KPIs and site visits.
  • Assist with fund expense process.
  • Contribute to the external audit, regulatory reporting (including AIFMD) and other reporting requirements.
  • Participate to the investment closing process for illiquid assets focusing on the functions of finance, treasury, accounting and reporting. Collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders, including portfolio management, tax and legal professionals; in addition to the fund controller, operations team and administrator.
  • Assist with the management of due diligence and ongoing oversight of joint-venture partners, including third-party service providers and consultants
  • Work with the tax and legal teams to collaborate to the design and set-up of investment structures for private equity, real estate and other illiquid investments.
  • Own the capital contributions/distributions process for fund investments working directly with joint-venture partners and PIMCO’s Asset Management Team.
  • Participate to the fund treasury and liquidity management process (including, capital calls, distributions and coordination with the financing team).
  • Oversee the European joint-venture level external audits from the funds perspective.
  • Utilize internal and external resources to respond to client, prospective client, and client consultant requests for information in a timely and accurate manner

 

Position Requirements:

  • Target range of 5-7 years of experience in finance-oriented role in Fund accounting and dealing with investment companies (real estate / private equity funds) and/or related investment products
  • Ability to implement accounting and reporting for investment structures for different asset classes
  • Desire to understand transaction process flows and requirements and develop processes to solve complexities as they arise
  • Exposure to private equity and hedge fund structures
  • Experience with external audit processes and procedures
  • Broad knowledge of accounting principle including IFRS, US Gaap and other local reporting requirements for Investment Companies and fair value principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, Management, or Economics preferred
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint
