Job Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities -
o Preparation of group & company tailored reports for submission & presentation to the FD / Board incl:
- Management Accounts
- KPI
- Cash Flows
- Budgets/Forecasts
o Managing a busy finance team incl:
- Period-End procedures
- Day to Day requirements
- Aspects of credit control
- Data Capture
o Presenting to & working closely with the FD incl:
- Period-End Reports
- Ad-Hoc Reporting
- Report Design
- Pro-Active responses to report info
o Liaising & working with other key stakeholders - Audit/Accounts Teams, Customers & Suppliers & other key stakeholders & advisor's
o Understanding & working towards all elements of a Financial Controller type role
Abilities, Skills & Experience -
- Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA accountant
- At least 3 year's management accounts experience in industry
- Proven track record of working with SMEs in a varied role
- Experience of data mining, capture & management
- Pro-Active with a drive to improve systems, processes & outputs for the benefit of the business
- Competent with ERP’s - experience with SAGE X3 desirable
- Self-motivated with a drive to achieve & a passion to deliver top quality work both independently & as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills - in person & written
- Experience of managing others with ability to buy in to a positive culture, nurture & encourage colleagues
- Full driving licence - based in Bolton but with the willingness to travel to group locations in Leeds & Macclesfield on occasion (not regular)
