Job Description
  • Supervising the operation of the facility ensuring that duties and activities are carried out in accordance with the facilities Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.
  • Ensuring the security of the building (including opening and locking up duties) and safeguarding of the property of the Council.
  • Ensure an excellent standard of customer care is implemented and maintained in line with the Customer Care Policy and Customer Charter.
  • Comply with the Councils Health and Safety Policy. To help ensure compliance with Health and Safety and other mandatory guidelines and legislation.
  • Report any defects or noticeable repairs observed.
  • Cover reception duties, cashing up and accounting of all monies received in accordance with the Councils Financial Rules.
  • Positively promote and develop the facility through outreach, leaflets, displays, general daily duties and any such promotional activities. Monitor and evaluate such activities, making improvements where necessary to ensure maximum use of the facility. Taking bookings as required.
  • Ensure the building and surrounding area is clean and tidy throughout the shift undertaking any additional work as required by the Golf Course Manager.
  • Record performance management information monitoring and evaluation processes in agreement with the Golf Course Manager.
  • The carrying out of all cleaning tasks, both internal and external as per the facilities cleaning procedures and maintain cleaning stores in accordance with COSHH regulations and general housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure the general safety and behaviour of the public to prevent injury, misuse and damage to equipment. Ensure that proper uses are made of the building and equipment.
  • Conduct routine checks of all internal and external areas to meet business needs including changing rooms, toilets, and rooms for use by the general public/hirers. Report any damage as per the operating procedures. Complete any required cleaning.
  • Administer the appropriate First Aid recording accidents / incidents and relevant to the facility and it's users in line with RIDDOR.
  • Undertake bookings as required liaising with Catering contractor ensuring all bookings/arrangements are communication efficiently.
  • To undertake stock replenishment as required.
  • Take delivery of supplies, cleaning materials, equipment etc storing appropriately.
