Job Description

You will be motivated and flexible, have excellent leadership and problem solving skills and be able to maintain a calm approach under pressure. You will need to work well within a team and able to organize your own workload. Good time management skills and being able to priorities tasks is essential as is having good attention to detail. You will also need to have the ability to deal sensitively with people who may be distressed. This is a busy position and the successful candidate will provide supervision to the administration team, work alongside another Band 4 and support to our Management and clinical team. Therefore, a good knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.

  • Assisting the Admin Team Lead with the running of the outpatient clinics
  • Deputies in the absence of Admin Team Lead
  • Supervise and appraise Band 3 secretarial staff
  • Assist with the Trust reporting system
  • Accurate audio typing of clinic letters
  • Diary Management
  • Making phone calls to patients, GP practices and other professional agencies
  • Schedule/reschedule medical appointments
  • Taking minutes of meetings
  • Occasional cover on reception; answering phone and dealing with the front desk
