Job Description

We’re looking for a confident, proactive, articulate team player, able to learn a variety of systems to support the Legal Team’s Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) through the provision of a comprehensive and effective administrative service.
You will:

  • Provide administration support and local continuous improvement work for the legal team’s PSL and others within the legal team as required
  • Update (input content) and maintain the legal team’s knowledge site and templates in consultation with TPR lawyers/the PSL, ensuring all knowledge management documents are saved appropriately and accurately to the document management system
  • Ensure the smooth administration of legal team knowledge management meetings and training, including coordinating timing, sending out invites, scheduling agenda items and updating action plans
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to the line manager
  • Undertake an administration/super user role for the legal team in relation to SharePoint and MS teams, dealing with queries and requests
  • Assist with administrative aspects of legal team training forecasts, subscriptions and professional memberships
  • Provide administration support for lawyers to attend external seminars and speaking events
  • Assist with the induction of new starters to the legal team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to multi task: be flexible in approach, ability to priorities work appropriately
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels: providing support to the PSL and Legal Team
  • Strong IT skills, including experience of standard IT software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems

  • Knowledge or experience of working in a legal environment or legal team
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and MS teams
  • Law degree
