Job Description

Supports the finance-related work of the business unit and ensures accurate reporting and effective financial management of commercial data.
You can expect to:

  • Work alongside project teams to provide contract analysis, supply performance reports on a timely basis and respond to ad-hoc finance queries and requests for support.
  • Manage timely billing and receipt of income in accordance with client contracts, including submitting claims.
  • Input into business unit financial accounting as required to support project lifecycle.
  • Help to maintain accurate and timely reporting of monthly management accounts by ensuring appropriate accounting and analysis.
  • Track project expenditure and its supporting evidence and help ensure appropriate functioning of the related finance processes.
  • Support and manage periodic expenditure verifications audits on international projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • You will be working towards an accountancy qualification – no specific institute requirement.
  • Knowledge and experience of finance procedures and processes.
  • Experience working with external funders desired, including European Commission.
  • Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel skills an essential requirement.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate independent judgment and an effective team member, productive with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
