Job Description

You will be expected to maintain and recommend constant improvements of the internal systems and processes. This is to ensure a robust and efficient function, whilst supporting the COO and on an ad-hoc basis dealing with key commercial matters and assisting other internal teams. (working 4 days a week)
Key responsibilities:

  • Sole responsibility for the Accounting function.
  • Maintenance of the accounting records.
  • Ensure all invoices for subscriptions, courses, events and any other revenue streams are raised and full payments are
  • Overseeing the full Purchase to Pay cycle for all purchases, from Purchase Order to receipt of services and
  • Ensuring that all tax returns and payments/recoveries (including VAT and Corporation Tax) are completed in a timely
  • Management of all debtors and
  • Maintaining monthly reconciliations of balance sheet
  • Reconciles the bank accounts on a regular (daily)
  • Supporting the development of the annual budget for approval by the
  • Preparing monthly management reports and latest financial forecasts for review by the
  • Supporting the preparation of Statutory Accounts for consideration and finalization.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Previous accountancy experience in a similar position
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Knowledge of: Xero accounting system | ApprovalMax | MS Office | Microsoft suite | Mailchimp | Excellent Excel
  • Qualifications in one of the following: AAT | CIMA | ACCA
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Able to give presentations to both clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • To be self-motivated, confident and proactive
