Job Description

You take responsibility for tasks from start to finish and actively follow up. You are confident when working independently and involve the relevant stakeholders in your decision-making.

  • Responsible for ensuring Intercompany, Intra-Company, Sales and AR balances are accurately and correctly posted in CODA(Child of Deaf Adults).
  • Responsible for raising all necessary sales invoices.
  • Responsible to produce timely and accurate reconciliations of all GL accounts in their control.
  • Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of postings for UK & IE in CODA for AR balances, where deficiencies are identified these need to be rectified and individuals need to be educated to ensure the errors are not repeated.
  • Responsible for ensuring cash transfers are processed monthly to clear intra company balances.
  • Work closely with all areas of the business and external parties that supply data to be posted into CODA, ensuring sufficient information is provided, that it is accurate and the information is received in a timely manner.
  • Apply business and accounting knowledge to make sense of the transactions and challenge when necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring VAT is correctly calculated and posted in for each transaction sales transaction.
  • Support Ad hoc finance projects and interim audit.
  • Support tax analysis as and when required.
  • Provide pro-active solutions to issues and look for better ways of working.
  • Actively take part in finance meetings.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related combined field.
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by 5+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, financial reporting and tax laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to handle multiple topics and changing priorities/deadlines
  • Self-reliant and self-motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Resilience when working in the unknown
  • Proficient user of MS Excel
