Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Raising and collating all bulk purchases whilst monitoring, actioning, and recording any queries for financial performance and commercial review
  • Compiling analysis, figures and data when required for annual accounts, assessing branch benefits, prospective new lines, promotions, terms etc.
  • Liaising with suppliers on matters relating to new promotions and general enquiries
  • Being aware of and monitoring our competitor activities
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the team in relation to diary management, typing correspondence and reports when required, maintaining stock levels of sample literature at Head Office, dealing with all incoming and outgoing post and emails
  • Facilitating requests from customers or branches on matters relating to sock availability, supplier information or progressing technical help
  • Supporting the Commercial Secretary and Help Desk Administrator in their absence
  • Establishing good relationships with suppliers, customers and the operational departments within the business

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong background and experience in Administration, preferably in a Buying or similar role
  • Exceptional attention to detail skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately to a high standard with a ‘right first time’ approach
  • Confident with a variety of computer programme to an intermediate level including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Analytical and methodical thinker with an aptitude for working with figures and data
  • Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing including spelling, punctuation and grammar
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to confidently deal with a variety of different projects at any one time
  • A forward thinker with the ability to multitask effectively and work to deadlines
  • Enjoys working and supporting a team with the initiative to work as an individual at all times
  • Keen to learn and develop skills
