Job Description
  • Compare monthly actual results against budget/forecast/prior year and prepare relevant and insightful commentary that explains variances and outlines actions required
  • Produce annual budgets and regular forecasts for sales and cost of sales for all group trading companies ensuring input and ownership from business managers
  • Support the business managers with understanding the P&Ls for their and other group companies focussing on profit improvement opportunities and actions
  • Support the production of the monthly Board Pack ensuring the accuracy of KPIs and financial information presented
  • Manage the production and review of weekly and monthly KPIs for all group companies
  • Ad hoc modelling and control of group trading company costing models
  • Support the Finance Manager by covering for holidays and absences and supporting the wider finance team
  • Support the production of annual statutory accounts for group companies
  • Produce weekly 'flash’ P&Ls with comparisons against budget/forecast as relevant
