Job Description

This role will heavily involve reviewing client bookkeeping reports and highlighting/resolving issues, as well as producing and filing of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns. You will also be responsible for the submission of quarterly VAT returns, some preparation of monthly management accounts and providing clients with considered tax advice. You will frequently liaise with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders; so strong communication skills are key!

This position will see you providing your expertise and experience to key clients; offering advice and guidance to drive the team forward in delivering an excellent service. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Hold a qualification in ACA, ACCA or CIMA or qualified by experience
  • Practical experience in preparing client accounts
  • Strong understanding of reporting standards
  • Good VAT knowledge with experience of preparing VAT returns
  • A strong understanding of UK corporation tax calculations with familiarity of European taxes
  • Good IT skills including excel, word and outlook
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive with the determination to go that extra mile
  • Ability to work remotely as well as travelling into the office
  • Knowledge of Tax and the ability to advise clients would be highly beneficial
  • Italian language skills would be advantageous, but not essential
