Job Description

You will be directly reporting into the CFO - which is all great experience for your career. They are a start-up but they have the capital behind it from the US business, which alleviates any risk. They will fully support your studies towards ACCA or CIMA; 1 week study leave per exam, materials, cover any tuition/collage costs etc.

Maintaining Accounting Records;

• Ensuring the accounting records on SAP are complete and accurate for both the UK and US legal entities.
• Managing debtor and creditor positions.
• Raising periodic fee invoices.
• Manage outsourced payroll provider.

Management Accounting

• Cash flow management and reporting.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Financial analysis.
• Preparation of annual budget, review of five-year financial plan, and forecasting.

Group Reporting

• Ensuring the Group Finance team receive all the information for periodic consolidations.

Regulatory Reporting

• Preparation of annual report and accounts.
• Manage the audit process.
• Completion of VAT returns.
• Ensuring annual submissions are made to Companies House.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be actively studying towards an accounting qualification, ACCA or CIMA (can be ACA if willing to switch)
• Must have good bookkeeping experience, management account prep or financial statement prep - both would be a bonus
• SAP experience is advantageous but not a requirement
