Job Description
- Assist Financial Director with responding to key stakeholders and provide insightful, detailed financial analysis to management. In addition to the role will contribute to the wider business accounting processes and team.
- Assist in developing and maintaining any system enhancements that may be required from time to time within the finance team to ensure that financial policies and controls are adhered to and there is a consistent approach to the shared service Centre procedures.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining financial policies and provide a high quality support service by liaising with management on all aspects of finance.
- Support on all financial activities relating to our policies and Environmental Solutions and ensuring the integration of Inflowmatix within these processes to align with us and Environmental Solutions shared service team processes
- Provide support to the general finance team to ensure reconciliation, accuracy and completeness of all processes post the SAP migration. Be instrumental in closing out this project
- Prepare the monthly reporting packs for the Financial Director to present at Operations Performance Review meetings and verify all underlying data
- Assist with submission of Group reporting into SMART monthly, Forecast and PREV packages
- Work closely with us and Environmental Solutions Financial Planning & Analysis team to ensure the correct accounting and reporting for all UK business lines
- Compliance to group procedures and best practice
- Accruals + Prepayments review + journals
- Payroll, stock + other journal posting
- Review + journal creation as required of revenue and cost accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Report generation + maintenance + Improvement
- Monthly cash flow projections
Support the wider accounting team + processes, possibly for division or across the group as may be required:
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Support other Financial Planning & Analysis team members in event of absence
- Provide support to Financial Director on Suez Smart and Environmental Solutions UK Group reporting e.g. retrieve file, Forecast uploads and consolidation queries
- Involvement in system related enhancement projects within the team to ensure best practice is adhered to and overall finance team objectives are met
- Assist with audit related queries
- Maintain a high level of service emanating from the finance department to the operations of the company
- Any ad-hoc tasks reasonably requested by your manager

- To listen to and relay market intelligence.
- Maintain high standards in terms of personal appearance conduct and respect of Company property.
