Job Description

What will you be doing?

• Support the production of monthly management accounts (including P/L, B/S & C/F statements for each entity and at a consolidated level), departmental performance reports, working capital analysis, warehouse reporting and Board reports;
• Ensure finance has a co-ordinated approach to interacting with the Business IT team and is able to challenge the IT organisation in technical matters impacting the finance team.
• Work with the Head of Management Accounts and Head of Financial Control to ensure the accounting policies are correctly reflected in the system processes;
• Be the recognised expert bridging the finance team and the systems teams.
• Timely production of information to a high quality, with a low level of manual intervention
• High satisfaction of stakeholders across the business in the quality of the data underpinning our financial reporting

What are we looking for?

• Part-qualified accountant – ACCA preferred
• Strong coding experience (SQL / M / Python perferred)
• Excellent Excel skills including Power Query / Power BI
• Previous experience working with finance systems
• Experience of extracting complex information and summarising it for different audiences
• Logical: Takes a structured approach to work, can explain their thought process
• Resilient: capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines and bouncing back from criticism
