Job Description

The successful candidate is likely to be working towards the final level of their professional exams (equivalent to CIMA Level 2). Study support is available.

  • Support with the production of joint venture budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts to strict deadlines.
  • Keep JV(Joint venture) forecasting models up to date, encompassing full life-of-site cash flow, balance sheet and P&L forecasting.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis on JVs.
  • Monitor performance against management plans to ensure that all results, trends, and risks are clearly understood and communicated.
  • Liaise with JV partners to ensure correct cash flows into and from the Joint Ventures to the respective partners and deal with queries.
  • Produce JV board papers, including detailed analysis and commentary.
  • Raising ad hoc Sales invoices.
  • Maintain and update the joint ventures financial systems and assist in their development.
  • Ad Hoc reporting and generation of information to support joint venture activities.
  • Provide general support to the team as and when required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience working in a similar role particularly for a residential house builder
  • Knowledge of the house building industry
  • Experience using COINS (ERP system)
  • Behave in line with our company values – Integrity, Caring and Quality
  • Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA).
  • Very good understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook and particularly Excel is vital
  • Demonstrable ability to take ownership of a role
  • “Right first time” attitude with strong attention to detail and ability to self-check
  • Proactive approach to work, including issue resolution
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical and IT skills
  • Ability to explain technical financial information clearly to non-finance people
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to communicate to individuals at all levels
  • Good team working skills
