Job Description
`To conduct internal audits in accordance with the agreed annual audit programme, or as operational priorities allow.
To conduct Ad Hoc internal audits as requested by the Quality Manager, or as considered necessary using their own judgment.
To verify compliance with the Company’s quality instructions using the predetermined system audit reports (checklists). This will involve questioning departmental managers and their staff regarding the nature of their work and how they conduct it, particularly how that complies with the Quality Management System (QMS), Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) as advised through the Company and departmental manuals, and especially desk instructions and job descriptions relevant to them. The system audit reports have been tailored to guide the auditor to key activities in each department.
To use judgment and experience to interpret whether variations in actual working practice constitute a discrepancy, or acceptable interpretation, and to recommend changes to the QMS, ISMS or EMS where compliance is unclear, or otherwise inappropriate.
To make recommendations to the Quality Manager on other aspects of departmental activity not covered by the audit programme
To perform allied duties as required by the Quality Manager, Facilities Manager or senior management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A basic understanding of the domestic computer/database systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adeptness to problem solving, together with strong customer service and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
The ability to act independently of any departmental influence, providing an unbiased approach to handling difficult issues that may arise.
Experienced in the use of MS Office including MS Excel.
To possess a can do and proactive attitude
A working knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001.
A reasonable understanding of the NATO Supply and Classification System.
Experience in conducting internal audits. Depending on experience full training can be provided.
Experience of working in an office and following office procedures.
