Job Description

You are responsible for reporting and planning, commercial accounting, services, operations, finance transformation, data & MI, controls and policies. We support the Technology CU in delivering robust month end accounting for network and IT spend, including the accounting for Mobile Broadband Network Ltd (MBNL). This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting for our Mobile Technology OPEX Business partners.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Monthly Accounting: responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely management accounts for numerous support contracts, accruing and prepaying purchase orders correctly and recognizing when orders are missing and dealing with them appropriately
  • Produce clean and auditable management accounts and the production of a full ESN P&L to include Technology costs
  • Analytical Review: Analytical review of monthly results to run rates including contract level analysis for support contracts
  • Audit and Internal Control: Liaising with internal audit team and supporting external audit question/lines of nquiry
  • Stakeholder engagement: establish and maintain strong working relationships with key technology business partners
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, completing accurate and detailed monthly reconciliations
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and delivering process improvements within area of responsibility

  • Proven track record of working with and complete month end to tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills working collaboratively across teams
  • Confident to work well within a team and with other teams and build strong working collaborative relationships
  • Solution-driven; get to root causes through the use of financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems
  • Ability to prioritise work and work independently on core deliverables
  • Be curious and comfortable with change
  • Worked with large volumes of data and in a strong control environment
  • Comfortable learning and working with new systems
  • You’ll be a part qualified Accountant, working towards full qualification
