Job Description

We are responsible for reporting and planning, commercial accounting, services, operations, finance transformation, data & MI, controls and policies. We also support the Technology CU in delivering robust month end accounting for network and IT spend, including the accounting for Mobile Network Broadband Ltd (MBNL). This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting for our Mobile Technology OPEX Business partners.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Monthly Accounting: responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely management accounts. Ensure robust and accurate accounting for IFRS16, Provisions and balance sheet.
  • MBNL Interco Accounting: reconciling MBNL accounts to deliver the correct accounting within the EE ledgers.
  • Audit and Internal Control: Liaising with internal audit team and supporting external audit question/lines of enquiry
  • Stakeholder engagement: establish and maintain strong working relationships with key technology business partners
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, completing accurate and detailed monthly reconciliations
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and delivering process improvements within area of responsibility

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong communication skills working collaboratively across teams
  • Advanced excel and modelling skills and ability to understand complex financial standards.
  • Experience of implementing process improvement to drive operational efficiency.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to complete month end to tight deadlines.
  • Solution-driven; get to root causes through the use of financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems
  • Worked with large volumes of data and in a strong control environment.
  • Comfortable learning and working with new systems.
  • Commercial/analytical insight.
