Job Description

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Preparation & Presentation of the Monthly Management Accounts – Including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Margin Ratios, Overheads for all Companies including a consolidated set of accounts and the monthly Stock Reconciliation.
  • Responsible for the Initial Preparation of the information for the Annual Statutory Accounts & liaising with the Companies auditors to ensure a timely and accurate presentation of the Statutory Accounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining control of the Companies Daily takings and reconciliation of these to the Companies bank accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain control over the Companies purchase ledger and ensuring its accuracy and security.
  • Ensure that control of the Companies bank accounts are maintained and reconciled on a daily, weekly & monthly basis, including cash forecasting on a weekly/monthly/annual basis to ensure the Company remains within its agree banking facility.
  • Maintain the Companies Fixed Asset register including depreciation charges.
  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory reporting requirements i.e. VAT, PAYE/N.I. returns, National Statistics Office returns, Waste Compliance.
  • Oversee the payroll function to ensure the controls are in balance.
  • Preparation of the annual Budgets including Sales, Cost of Sales, Overheads, Depreciation into annual Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Forecast.
  • Implementation of a Perpetual Stock Take Routine to eliminate the need for half & full year stock takes.
  • Overseeing and Control of the Finance Department.
