Job Description
  • In addition to the role will contribute to the wider business accounting processes and team.
  • Develop and maintain any system enhancements that may be required from time to time within the finance team to ensure that financial policies and controls are adhered to.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and provide a high quality support service by liaising with management on all aspects of finance.
  • Support on all financial activities relating to company and ensuring the integration of these processes to align with Smart and Environmental Solutions shared service team processes
  • Work closely with our Manager to ensure the correct accounting and reporting for UK Digital business line
  • Compliance to group procedures and best practice

Accounting & analysis duties including but not limited to:

  • Accruals + Prepayments review + journals
  • Payroll, stock + other journal posting
  • Review + journal creation as required of revenue and cost accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Report generation + maintenance + Improvement
  • Monthly cash flow projections

Conduct quarterly/annual processes:

  • Budget preparation
  • Forecasting
  • Annual audit process + tax workings

Support the wider accounting team + processes, possibly for division or across the group as may be required:

  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Support other Financial Planning & Analysis team members in event of absence
  • Provide support to Financial Director on Smart and Environmental Solutions UK
  • Group reporting e.g. retrieve file, Forecast uploads and consolidation queries
  • Involvement in system related enhancement projects within the team to ensure best practice is adhered to and overall finance team objectives are met
  • Assist with audit related queries
  • Maintain a high level of service emanating from the finance department to the operations of the company
  • Any ad-hoc tasks reasonably requested by your manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Computer literate with a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Numerate and accurate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organization and administrative skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting packages (including SAP or SAGE or similar)
  • Good team working skills
  • The ability to priorities and plan effectively

Qualifications required to do this role:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), however a part qualified with suitable progression towards finalizing qualification.

Experience required to do this role:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in management accounting or financial management.
  • Experience of analyzing company financial data.
