Job Description
  • Answer the switchboard in a friendly efficient manner and be as helpful as possible to all callers.
  • When guests or clients visit our office, greet them and offer them a seat. Immediately phone the staff member they are here to see.
  • Ensure that the reception area is neat and tidy at all times.
  • Be aware of all absent employees and ensure that all messages and telephone numbers of all callers are taken.
  • When required place order for taxis.
  • Deal with couriers and co-ordinate logging of same.
  • Answer diverted calls and taking messages directed.
  • On delivery of stock equipment, contact Administration Department immediately so that this may be checked and removed from reception.
  • Ensure that no waste/shredding bins remain in the reception area.
  • Assist as required with other functions of the department.
  • Any other related tasks as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Significant experience as a receptionist.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Significant Switchboard experience
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
