Job Description
- Working as a CR Business Partner in the provision of CR support to Leads, Managers and colleagues nationally, advising on all CR Policies and Procedures
- Coordinate and arrange colleague services such as welfare & support and continuously promoting our purpose and core values
- Handle and manage colleague grievances, complaints and implement disciplinary procedures in line with legislation and Company policy
- Develop CR policies and procedures in addition to reviewing and updating policies as required
- Interpreting and advising on employment law
- Develop and implement strategies to promote and enhance our Culture whilst supporting and advocating company as a Great Place to Work
- Assist with business priority projects and strategies along with other duties as specified by the Head of CR
Colleague Contracts and Terms
- Prepare, update, and amend any CR documents including employment contracts, personnel files, and on-boarding documents.
- Liaise with managers regarding the renewal and amendments to employment contracts, probationary periods, and performance
- Issue contracts and letters to colleagues accordingly within the legislative timeframe and internal SLA and discuss all relevant terms with colleagues.
Payroll
- To assist with the administrative duties of the payroll, appraisal and salary review process
- Responsible for ensuring new starters and leavers are processed through the payroll accordingly
MI reporting, CR Database and Personnel Files
- Maintain the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and consistently update personnel information
- Maintain the CR mailbox respond to queries within agreed SLA timeframe
- Maintain personnel filing system/records for colleagues - paper and electronic
- Full responsibly for administrative filing and all CR administration requirements
- Record leave and maintain records in line with GDPR
- Produce MI reports from the personnel database for Business Unit Leaders and Managers
- Action reference requests
Recruitment and On-boarding
- The successful candidate will need to maintain records of internal and external recruitment requests, internal opportunities and promotions, team requirements and business redeployment requirements and assist with the Recruitment Team as required
- Prepare new contracts and employment packages and work in collaboration with the recruitment team as per recruitment/onboarding process regarding commencement formalities, issuing of CR policy documents, and collation of data e.g. interview assessments, CVs, reference checks, qualification checks as required
- Prepare, maintain and update new starter files
- As per recruitment/onboarding process and where applicable, liaise with IT and Business Services departments regarding system access, business equipment and technology for new starters prior to commencement
- Work in collaboration with Learning and Development Manager and assist with the arrangements for organizational training/Induction for new starters.
- Meet and greet new starters on their first day, issue Sedgwick welcome pack, detail and explain CR documentation and contracts (including purpose and retention), highlight Company Benefits, introduce them to Business Unit Leaders and relevant teams, and familiarize them with the building and facilities.
- Input colleague details on the HRIS, compliance databases & additional systems as required.
Learning & Development (L&D)
- Process exam applications and memberships for all educational bodies
- Promote the exam process to all colleagues and develop campaigns to encourage exam attendance
