Job Description

  • Monitor monthly statements before they are released, monitor arrears levels, placing accounts on hold when required
  • Dealing with customer queries, e.g. balance queries, reissuing statements, queries on statements
  • Contacting customers by phone and in writing regarding their account balances/payments
  • Liaising with colleagues and other departments to solve issues/ queries
  • Setting up new accounts and ensuring customers adhere to their account agreement
  • Sending customer accounts to solicitors for debt collection
  • Any other duties as assigned by the department manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and highly organized
  • Courteous and confident telephone manner, good numerical and analytical skills with a flexible approach to tasks
  • The ideal candidate should be a strong team player, self-motivated and be able to work on their own initiative
  • Competent IT skills, working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Credit control experience desired but not essential
