Reporting to the Finance Manager, the primary purpose of this role involves working closely with workstreams across the complete breadth of the business, to prepare business cases (40%), cost planning and reporting (30-40%) as well as month end reporting from a commercial aspect (20%), incorporating highlighting risks and opportunities. This is a high-profile role within the Finance Team and includes presenting of reports to internal and external governance and regulation committees.
Responsibilities:
Business Case Development and Support
Support efficiency & initiative tracking (including business cases)
Support preparation of business cases
Monitor the achievement of the financial budget and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Cost Planning and Reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts
Facilitate budget, forecasting and long-term planning activity
Highlight risks & opportunities
Ability to work to tight timescales and organise workload effectively
Experience/ Qualifications:
Finalist / Qualified Accountant
Experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Cost Management, Business Planning and Management Reporting and Analysis
Strong analytical judgement, problem solving and modelling skills
Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
Advanced or good level of experience in Excel
Business partnering experience
Experience within large corporate, engineering, manufacturing, professional services or management consultancy, would be an advantage
