Job Description

A key part of this role is to ensure we maintain our compliance with regulations, such as single farm payment (BPS), nitrate vulnerable zones (NVZ), and sludge and environmental regulations. To keep compliance, it is essential all operation environmental, sludge and agricultural procedures are followed, and all activities are recorded on the company system for audit purposes by the Environmental Agency.

Together with using your industry expertise to run a safe operation that generates maximum income, keep costs down, the post will be key in helping the team progress and adapt to new challenges, whether developing new markets, exploring new products, or incorporating new regulatory or environmental changes.

What do I need?

To be successful your customer service skills will be excellent. You will also be a strong communicator and confident liaising with colleagues, contractors and farmers where you can share their expertise and capabilities.

In addition, we are looking for someone with:

• The ability to take on a full understanding of sludge recycling regulations, and all associated regulations and codes of practice
• An understanding of agricultural practices, fertilizer requirements, crop rotations and the nutrient release of organic material
• A willingness to qualify in facts qualification and maintain this professional qualification annually
• A degree or similar level of experience
