Job Description

Providing niche, high-quality services to healthcare service providers and private clients via multi-site clinics and surgeries throughout the UK, the organisation continues to enjoy ongoing profitable growth. A high-profile opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to undertake a Financial Controller Designate role and support the Finance Director. A broad and varied brief includes:

  • Provide financial leadership to Division HQ & multi-site Joint Venture Partners
  • Providing financial advice to JV Operations & Commercial Managers, leading meetings & communications on all monthly management reporting process including P&L, Balance Sheet & cash forecasting, analysis & identification of key trends & commercial issues
  • Day to day management of finance team & relationship management with group & shared service centre (SSC) finance teams
  • Control of balance sheet accounting & monthly reconciliation process
  • Preparation of board reports & provision of financial analysis to drive decision making in the SMT
  • Leading & advising on monthly & annual budgeting, planning & forecasting processes
  • Ongoing review of financial reporting processes to drive efficiency & support business growth
  • Providing financial support to the business development function for new joint venture partnership businesses, tender responses & new business proposals including responsibility for 10-year financial models

As a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA individual with hands on financial accounting, monthly reporting and year end process experience, ideally gained within a Healthcare environment, you will demonstrate strong Excel skills, evidence of supporting key stakeholders and preferably exposure to Cedar Open Accounts. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your existing skillset within a dynamic and expanding business sector.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
