Job Description

We are looking for an independent and result-oriented Group Reporting Senior Manager to sit within the Finance team with a focus on the Group’s technical accounting considerations including Group and local policy, financial statements and expansion projects. You will be part of the London Group Finance team and we need someone with vision and ideas who will tackle any problem as well as the ability to roll your sleeves up and get involved.

What you'll be doing

  • Key member of the team responsible for all aspects of the Group’s financial reporting (either directly driving or in an oversight capacity)
  • Owner of Group Accounting Policy and all technical accounting matters for a growing international financial services business
  • Group financial reporting, new product and growth initiative accounting considerations, group structuring and strategic projects including the accounting for the Group’s capital and liquidity frameworks
  • Oversight and monitoring of the Group’s financial reporting control framework alongside the Group and Subsidiary Financial Control teams
  • Coordination of all governance related materials and attendance at Group Audit Committee meetings
  • Working closely with the product and systems teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process
  • Assist in building a scalable and efficient global accounting and finance function
  • Providing support during the annual audit process ensuring a timely and effective audit.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 5+ years’ post qualified experience in finance functions or in accounting advisory services, preferably with experience within a financial service/banking industry.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent), trained in a reputable practice
  • Very strong accounting knowledge, with proven experience within IFRS/FRS and application in a commercial environment
  • Ability to comprehend and narrate financial records for external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting queries
  • Positive attitude: 'Can do' approach and willing to give everything a go from manual processing to larger projects.
  • Excellent organisation skills: ability to plan and organise work so that it is efficient and effective
