Job Description

Your role will covers a wide range of tax matters so you can expect your task list to cover everything from dealing with VAT queries through to preparing personal tax returns and completing corporation tax and partnership computations and returns. You will act as the subject matter expert within the finance department for all tax related queries. You will be confident in your knowledge and be able to successfully resolve a range of issues both internally and externally. We work in a fast-paced environment so you will need to keep up; adaptability and resilience are key to success in this role. Our Finance team work very hard but in return we offer support and a fantastic environment to work in.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working towards, or have completed, the CTA qualification.
  • Qualified accountant.
  • Experience in tax compliance for individuals, partnerships and companies.
  • An interest in and good knowledge across UK business tax, VAT, employment tax and personal tax.
  • Familiarity with standard personal and corporation tax packages.
  • The ability to clearly communicate in writing.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Exceptional double entry bookkeeping skills.
