Job Description

The role holder will provide key input into all aspects of the initiation, requirements, design, build, test and rollout of the new systems in conjunction with the SI and other members of the project team and the wider global finance team.
The post holder will work on the following activities:

  • Assisting in defining the project scope and working with SI to outline objectives
  • Gathering requirements from business units and users and translating/documenting into technical business requirements
  • Hands on application design, build and test each product component and provide post-production support, including:
  • Responsible for configuration and mapping old structures
  • First point of contact for any queries/data needed
  • Build report specification and required suite for Phase 1
  • Data migration and management
  • Data reconciliation and user preference testing
  • System testing and validation
  • Devising training and UAT
  • Deployment of new toolset and retirement of the old system
  • Development of reporting and dash boarding to meet business requirements
  • Working closely with the SI to ensure that project deliverables meet the requirements
  • Hands-on work with the application to develop the necessary parts to attain a point of functional usage.
  • Execution of tasks in accordance with the project plan and design document

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A qualified Accountant, or extensive experience working within finance consolidation, reporting and planning systems
  • Experienced in Finance consolidation toolset development and full project implementation (preferably HFM)
  • Candidates must be results orientated, highly numerate and with sharp intellect and agile mind
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on end to end continuous improvement
  • Well-developed analytical skills; highly organised; flexible and focused with an easy ability prioritise
  • Well-developed IT database skills
  • Ability to communicate in writing and through personal engagement will be critical, as is building relationships with the operating divisions and functions
  • The strength of communication, presentation and influencing skills critical to achieving buy-in to vision and transformation plans from stakeholders at all levels and across different cultures
  • Experienced in using in memory database cube toolsets for planning, analysis and reporting (for example, Anaplan, Adaptive insights, TM1, SAP BPC, Business Objects)
