Job Description

Our client is a leading Hedge Fund at the forefront of research into financial markets. They are looking for a Management Accountant ready to take on immediate responsibility within an experienced and expanding team.

Working as a key member of the Corporate Accounting Team within Finance you will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts and the annual financial statements, preparation of foreign subsidiary reconciliations, responsibility for the accounts payable module and accounting for revenue, maintenance of the SAGE general ledger, preparing monthly VAT returns. The role will also involve taking responsibility of the maintaining and implementing appropriate controls and other various finance related value add projects.

Accountabilities:

• Preparation and production of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules within set deadlines

• Monthly and ad hoc reporting analysis

• Assisting in the preparation of regulatory returns for supervising authorities for all group companies

• Preparation of the monthly VAT returns

• Prepare monthly budget reports and liaise with department heads to review monthly spend against budget

• Assist in the preparation of statutory annual accounts for group companies; and

• Liaise with external auditors and assist with year-end process.

Specific technical/knowledge/experience required

Essential

• Candidate must be qualified (ACA, ACCA)

• Advanced Excel skills

• Attention to detail

• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Candidates must be driven and able to work in a fast paced challenging environment; and

• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

Relevant

• Experience in Microsoft Access

• Experience with SAGE an advantage; and

• Audit background an advantage.
