Job Description

You will be responsible for the delivery of corporate tax reporting and compliance services across the region and will work collaboratively across other global Finance teams, supporting continuous improvement and project related activity.The role will also involve:

  • providing support on key strategic corporate and business projects
  • acting as a direct tax subject matter expert supporting the wider shared service function as well all business lines as required
  • partnering with stakeholders in the tax team, finance and the wider business to understand the tax risks to provide ad hoc advice and suggestions for mitigation where appropriate

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A comprehensive understanding of UK Corporate Tax law
  • Experience of working in a corporate tax department of an accountancy practice or an in-house corporate tax team.
  • Previous responsibility for all aspects of Corporate Tax Compliance including tax return submission, payment of liabilities etc.
  • Experience of completing Tax reviews of statutory accounts prepared under IFRS
  • Experience of working for multinational companies on international and cross-border tax issues such as CFC
  • Good level of understanding of how the functions of an enterprise work together
  • Good level of understanding of the corporate tax best practice in equivalent organizations
  • Previous experience of analyzing a range of internal and external data and insight from a variety of sources, making appropriate recommendations
  • Previous experience of creating and embedding systems and processes to meet corporate tax compliance obligations required under new legislation or to drive greater efficiencies
  • Previous experience of partnering with business stakeholders, with the ability to work at a mid/ senior level in the organization
  • Previous experience of providing advice and guidance at a senior level in area of expertise
  • Previous experience of delivering volume, quality output, while adhering to agreed timescales
  • Previous experience of effectively interacting with internal/external clients and external Tax partners, to deliver effective outcomes
  • Experience of engaging and managing external advisors
  • A professional Tax, accounting, or business qualification for example ACA, ACCA, or CTA or equivalent
