Job Description
  • Line manager for Financial Reporting Accountant.
  • Coaching and review of monthly consolidation, Annual Report, and statutory accounts prepared by Financial Reporting Accountant.
  • Liaison with external auditors.
  • Proactive research into the latest developments in IFRS and the consideration of the relevance, implications and impact of these on the Group's reporting.
  • Liaison with tax advisors to ensure good understanding of the Group's tax position.
  • Forward looking planning to prepare the business for future changes to reporting standards (e.g. TCFD reporting)
  • Management and development of PowerBI reporting to meet the needs of the finance team.
  • Preparation of CFO report explaining financial performance after consolidation, including variances from budget.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be a qualified accountant with excellent attention to detail and a technical accounting background, with a proactive and motivated mindset to ensure high quality work, and an enjoyment for coaching and developing others.

  • Qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA) from practice.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and FRS 101.
  • Experience preparing / reviewing / auditing consolidations and statutory accounts
  • Experience of tax calculations or working with tax professionals
