Job Description
Working on a national and international scale, highlights include corporate restructurings, investment fund transactions and property development transactions. The team regularly advises clients and intermediaries on a wide range of tax issues including:
- Corporate finance support on trade, private equity and renewables deals, including related advisory work
- Transfers of going concerns, including administration sales
- Corporate reconstructions, including demergers and intra-group reorganizations
- Advising on inbound investment structures
- Investor reliefs and advice on tax efficient extraction of value from private companies
- Tax advice to buyers and sellers of development land
- Advice to investors (including non-residents) in UK commercial and residential property, including SDLT, LBTT, LTT and VAT advice
- Advising in relation to UK authorized funds, including OEICs, AUTs and ACS
- Advising pension funds on investments
- Financing tax advice, including in relation to loan facility agreements, derivatives, finance leasing and other financing arrangements
- Disclosure of tax irregularities to HMRC and dealing with HMRC investigations

- Tax-related litigation, investigations and enquiries
