You will play a key role in shaping the design, development, and implementation of them. It ensures that we are no worse off than today and that we work towards Group aligned ways of working and systems. This is an exciting opportunity with exposure to senior stakeholders, other business areas within the Group, consultants, and suppliers.

• Supports the MFB (Make Finance Brilliant) transformation business strategy, ensuring that Consumer’s interests are protected.
• Responsible for coordinating Business Readiness activities within Consumer to support MFB delivery 
• Responsible for supporting the Group MFB programme, ensuring that Consumer are sufficiently engaged, and timelines and activities are understood. 
• Ensuring all Consumer requirements are fed into the programme, and that Consumer’s interests are protected. 
• Assessing options and making recommendations quickly to keep us on track. 
• Supporting the delivery of new policies, systems and processes, and ensuring these are appropriate and work for Consumer and aligned with the Group. 
• Working in partnership with Consumer Future Finance Managers, ensuring that there is resilience and shared understanding around the programme. 
• Leading specific activity as required to support the delivery of MFB and business readiness within Consumer area

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Part-qualified or fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA), or relevant experience working within a finance function 
• Project Management experience of coordinating activities across teams to deadlines. 
• Experience of supporting delivery of finance projects, working in virtual teams across organizations. 
• Communication skills - translating project plans and activities to stakeholders through both oral and written communication. Ability to tailor message to the relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the appropriate level of detail. 
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships. 
• Demonstrable professionalism with a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business environment. 
• Experience in finance, covering a breadth of activities and best in class practices, processes and policies. 
• Solution-driven - able to identify issues, get to root causes through the use of financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems. 
  • Ability to influence and coach and to build key relationships with appropriate business partners.
