Job Description

You will achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable policies and procedures (Corporate and IT) for all existing and new IT applications and infrastructure services.

  • Manage and maintain the environment to ensure that the managed IT estate is maintained to the highest standards and in-line with industry best practices.
  • Ensure the managed IT estate and business applications are correctly patched and protected from security vulnerabilities in a timely manner, in line with corporate IT policies and procedures.
  • Ensure desktop compliance processes are maintained and exposure to external malign influences are minimized.
  • Ensure all IT related policies and procedures are adhered to and conduct regular reviews across the organization.
  • Perform regular audits of both IT hardware and software inventories at regular intervals and in line with our policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate both remote and onsite audits of corporate processes including hardware and software as required by Security, Networks and Telecoms requirements.
  • Maintain Business Impact Risk Analysis for all processes within own sphere of influence.
  • Use scan outputs provided by security teams to resolve any business critical system exposures.
  • Develop and manage the necessary processes to achieve compliance with all relevant industry security standards.
  • Maintain IT & Business Systems Disaster & Recovery and Business Resumption documentation.
  • Working with departmental managers and process owners, ensure compliance and control documentation accompanies all new developments and infrastructures.
  • Co-ordinate and improve communication flow between our IT teams and provide regular reports and updates to the IT Manager and senior leadership.
  • Keeping abreast of business and technological advances and maintain an understanding of Hertz IT security policies and procedures. Communicate changes to the business as required, follow-up to ensure appropriate actions have been taken and relevant documentation is updated.
  • Ensure projects and tasks are completed in accordance with IT global standards thus ensuring a high level of quality in the finished product in timely manner. Carry out ad-hoc projects as requested.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training material when required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Graduate degree in IT discipline, Computer Science, Business Management or other equivalent degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience of administering the Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager suite in an enterprise environment facilitating patching, imaging, software deployment and reporting.
  • Microsoft or Cisco security and technology certifications preferred.
  • Experience of managing enterprise anti-virus and endpoint security deployments.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience with SCCM, desktop, virtual-desktop and server operating systems (Win7, Win10, Server 2008/2012/2016) and with software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365)
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills along with an ability to learn and adapt quickly in a continuously changing and demanding environment are essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to different levels of leadership within the organisation both in writing and orally.
  • Experience of working in an international enterprise environment with exposure to multi-languages.
  • Experience of working with VMWare virtualized server, virtual desktop and IBM SAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of the latest cloud, SAN, hyper-converged and hybrid data Centre technologies.
  • Knowledge of the latest security technologies and standards particularly in relation to protecting against ransom ware cyber events.
  • Project management skills and accreditations.
