Job Description

You will be joining this organization as number one in finance and will have full autonomy to improve current processes and procedures, including implementation of a new system. Your role will also entail:

  • Production of monthly management accounts (including accruals, prepayments and journals)
  • Design and maintain an internal financial control framework (to include balance sheet reconciliations)
  • Production of monthly board pack to support the monthly management accounts.
  • Development of meaningful KPI measures suitable for the business.
  • Improve WIP and profitability reporting.
  • Assess the effectiveness of current systems and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Manage and forecast cash flow, assess cash position and plan creditor and other payments accordingly.
  • Line management of 3 Finance team members
  • Process payroll on a monthly basis (to include all HMRC and pension reporting requirements)
  • Provide finance-based analysis and data to senior management and the Sales and Operational departments.
  • Prepare and submit monthly CIS returns and sub-contractor statements, validate subcontractors.
  • Prepare, analyse and submit quarterly VAT returns.
