The ideal Analyst will have a strong university degree, several years’ experience in an advisory, banking or fund environment and an appetite to work within a fast-growth fund looking at Energy & Infrastructure assets globally. Your career can progress within Portfolio performance, Analysis and Asset management or, move into Investment Management if that is your long-term ambition.
Performance analysis of a portfolio of diverse assets (sector and territory), including developing market knowledge of secondary markets, valuation of investments and identifying and realising value enhancements.
Monitor assets of subportfolio, including producing and presenting Project Review papers containing in depth analysis of risks and opportunities focusing on complex, high-value portfolio assets.
Support the business across selected Investment and divestment projects, providing detailed financial and commercial analysis including modelling.
Financial / Portfolio Performance Analyst principal responsibilities;
Undertaking valuation of subportfolio of assets including input to relevant reporting to external valuation advisors and auditors and reporting to the Executive and Audit Committees.
Developing market knowledge of drivers and metrics of the relevant secondary markets.
Identification and investigation of value enhancement opportunities in line with growth targets. This includes maintaining a detailed programme of future enhancements, setting realisation targets and managing their completion in conjunction with the appropriate Asset Director.
Drafting of investment reports for portfolio assets. Proper follow up of risk mitigation and timely closing out of open issues.
Monitor project yield cashflow forecast of sub-portfolio.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful Financial / Portfolio Performance Analyst will be comfortable interrogating financial models, running valuations (DCF in particular) and reviewing other typically used investment metrics. Exposure to project finance, private equity, investment management or similar experience would be an advantage.
