Job Description

A Financial Accountant is required to work for a FTSE 250, real estate business based in Central London on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will be joining at a key time, supporting the business as they enter into the next phase of growth with a focus on their multichannel presence.

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager you will be working in a fast paced, driven environment. The role will include supporting with group quarterly reporting deadlines and supporting with driving forward systems-based changes. Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for assisting with group annual budgeting and quarterly reporting deadlines
• Supporting with the production of the interim and annual consolidated statutory group financial statements under IFRS
• Supporting with corporate finance related duties including assisting with joint ventures
• Project related work including continuous improvement and enhancement of group wide systems
• Working closely with external auditors throughout the statutory accounts process

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be considered for this Financial Accountant role you must be CA/ACA Qualified with at least one year’s post qualified experience (in industry or practice). Prior knowledge and experience of IFRS standards and strong financial reporting skills are essential. Previous experience working for or auditing a listed business in a group accounting capacity is considered an advantage. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills to be able to liaise with the wider finance team, stakeholders across the business and senior management. Excellent attention detail, an ability to use your initiative and working to tight deadlines is the key to success in this role.
