Job Description

You will manage a small team and take hands on ownership and oversight of all financial controls and processes, building strong relationships across other departments to ensure they are adapted as necessary to fit the needs of the business. In this role you will be expected to provide strong leadership and “outside the box” thinking whilst delivering the following core responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Continuous process improvement to ensure accurate and efficient reporting
  • Processing payroll and calculating commissions
  • Review and submission of VAT returns and EC sales reporting
  • Oversight of customer credit limit decisions
  • Managing cash flow and foreign currency requirements
  • Liaising with auditors and external tax advisers to ensure statutory obligations are fulfilled
  • Adhoc support for the Senior Management team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The role will give the opportunity for future career development and the potential for involvement in a wide range of strategic projects throughout the Group. Ideally you will possess the following skills/experience:

  • A fully qualified accountant although qualified by experience with relevant experience will be considered
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Team management experience
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Natural curiosity and a desire for continuous process improvement
