Job Description

You will assist in all aspects of the Finance Department, providing effective and efficient customer services at all times. A hands-on, down-to-earth pragmatic and proactive approach to finance is essential for this role. You will be a quick learner, flexible, calm under pressure and self-motivated with a strong desire to contribute proactively within the team and the wider organisation. Sound IT and communication skills together with experience of Sage/Xero essential. Experience in the field of construction would be an advantage as the company operates in both the events sector as well as in construction.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Managing the Accounts’ Department’s day-to-day internal and external communication.
  • Managing all aspects of Purchase Ledger to include processing of supplier invoices, resolving queries with suppliers, preparing bi-monthly payment runs and processing supplier payments.
  • Managing all aspects of Sales Ledger to include raising of client invoicing and credit notes, issuing statements, credit control, processing client payments and resolving disputes.
  • Processing and reconciling of Company’s Charge card system.
  • Bank Account reconciliations.
  • Processing of VAT returns.
  • Processing of monthly CIS returns.
  • Preparing financial reports as requirement by the Directors and Managers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ideally you will have a qualification in finance/accounting/bookkeeping and proven bookkeeping experience, especially with the above two software packages. You’ll also be proficient in English and in M.S Office with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
