Job Description

A London market insurance company is currently recruiting for an accounting policies expert on a three month fixed term contract basis.

Reporting directly to the Finance Control lead the successful applicant will draft the group accounting policy manual for both UK & US GAAP, establish and document areas of divergence between UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS, liaise with external auditors on complex areas and revise annual financial statement disclosures if appropriate.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants must be qualified accountants and have in depth technical knowledge of UK / US GAAP and IFRS ideally gained within an insurance environment (although this is not essential) and possess excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
