Job Description
  • Manage the quote to cash process for EMEA from invoicing to accounts receivable collections including ensuring all internal process are adhered to.
  • Assist support on all Quote enquiries from internal teams and external customers
  • Primary contact in all EMEA countries with outsourced accountants, tax advisors, payroll and being aware of any compliant changes and working with external advisors to ensure our countries remain compliant.
  • Managing the production of the statutory accounts, payroll compliance, indirect and direct tax compliance and reporting with external auditors, tax advisors, local accountants in all EMEA countries
  • Co-ordinating and liaising with the auditors and managing the Groups audit engagement; primary contact for external auditors for annual and periodic audits and all ongoing tax requirements. Agreeing the timetable and requirements upfront and ensuring Internal & external party work to the agreed deadlines.
  • Manage statutory and monthly payroll compliance for all countries in the region. Be the focal with our external payroll providers in all EMEA ensuring adequate controls.
  • Manage EMEA payroll providers in accordance with service agreements ensuring SLA’s & compliance
  • Manage and ensure financial compliance, governance and oversight for the Acoustic subsidiaries in EMEA
  • Assist the Global Payroll Manager with dealing with payroll queries from EMEA employees.
  • Contribute to the development of EMEA accounting operations and internal business controls across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
  • Manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers, vendors, banking institutions and accountants
  • Assist auditing T&E reports submitted by regional employees through Coupa expense system ensuring compliance to local laws and regulations.
  • Ability to understand contract terms and other business matters and translate them into the appropriate application of U.S. GAAP
  • Provide a high level of customer service within Accounting and to our non-Accounting business partners including sales teams
  • Responds to inquiries from the CFO, Chief Accounting Officer, Controller, and company wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests etc.
  • Form a close working relationship with the EMEA & EMEA senior leadership team
  • A solid understanding of internal control design and operational efficiency. Leading ongoing country compliance and ensuring robust control environment is in place across the regions.
  • Constantly working with budget holders ensuring cost are in line with plan & always looking for ways to reduce cost.
  • Supporting the overall transition of ERP systems, finance/accounting systems, processes and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes and propose improvements to streamline the use of key business metrics.

Month End

  • Support month end EMEA close with US Corporate team and colleagues
  • Improve the monthly financial close and internal control process for our EMEA subsidiaries to ensure an accurate and timely close, for submission to our US corporate headquarters
  • Reviewing and ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions in NetSuite
  • Maintaining appropriate supporting schedule for all Balance Sheet items

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or similar leadership role across multiple EMEA counties Exceptional communication skills at all levels and cross-departmentally Energetic and highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success. Working understanding of US GAAP and local rules and regulations, and must be able to perform thorough research of accounting issues Superior organizational, process management and presentation skills, and strong attention to detail Advanced time-management skills to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth and rapidly changing environment. Great problem solving and analytical skill to analyze information, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations Willingness to work a flexible schedule required to meet deadlines Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills and maintain the highest level of integrity and ethical standards combined with commitment to good governance Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently, with general direction and guidance Team player with the ability to develop collaborative relationships Familiarity & understanding with NetSuite financials.
