Job Description
- Preparation and maintenance of company and group monthly management accounts and production of the annual financial statements for review
- Monitor and maintain the financial integrity of our nominal ledger.
- Prepare annual budgets and biannual forecasts, including consolidated for review.
- Responsible for the completion of statistics & returns within deadline.
- To undertake professional training as required. This is a developmental role and the responsibilities and tasks will be reviewed regularly during the training period.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the accounting records and procedures in respect of financial systems and procedures ensuring manual and computer systems are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure the nominal ledger system is up to date and accurate at all times, by reviewing & updating the nominal codes on a regular basis
- Prepare the annual operating budget and capital budgets by liaising with budget holders.
- Prepare information for annual returns to the regulator.
- Prepare information for the annual revaluation return.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of 5 GCSE or ‘O’ level passes to include English and Math, or equivalent
- AAT qualified or equivalent
- Minimum of at least 1 year experience in a similar size and complexity of organization
- Ability to work as part of team but also able to use initiative and work with limited supervision
- Ability to priorities workloads, set targets, work to deadlines and monitor own performance
- Able to prepare consolidated group budgets and forecasts for review
