Job Description

You will support business decision making and improvements by gathering, analyzing and clearly presenting financial information and insights. You will have experience of ERP systems (ideally SAP B1, but training will be provided), excellent Excel skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and a fixed asset register, as well as preparing monthly VAT Returns.

You will also carry out various finance-related project work, including an immediate large project to reconcile historic balances. We need someone with the attention to detail and proactive, diligent approach to take charge of this work and ensure our records are up to date and reliable.

You will need to be able to pivot between being hands-on with supporting with administrative tasks, as well as supporting the Financial Controller and wider management team as needed. Building effective working relationships and developing your understanding of our operations will able you to identify areas for improvement and communicate opportunities clearly.

This is a part-time position for 23-24 hours a week. We offer flexibility around the working pattern, whether 3 full days or 4 or 5 shorter days, to help you to balance life outside of work. To be considered for this role, you will need to be either chartered or working towards chartership, with accountancy experience gained in either practice or a finance function. Manufacturing sector experience is preferred but not essential.
