Job Description
  • Producing Management Accounts to strict to our timetable each month
  • Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
  • Preparation of monthly and year end journals
  • Collation and preparation payroll costing information and journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, review assets and liabilities
  • Accountability for cash flow and production of forecasts
  • Debtor & Creditor monthly reviews
  • Overheads – management and analysis
  • Analyze financial information to assist business profitability and growth
  • Assessment of monthly expenses
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Recording and reporting on all Fixed Asset movements, including additions and disposals.
  • Agreeing intercompany balances
  • Assist with implementation of new financial system
  • Ad hoc cover for other members of the team during busy periods and holidays
  • Analyze financial information to assist business profitability and growth
  • Assist with preparation of statutory accounts
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
  • Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will have a strong awareness of current accounting practices and standards, with previous management accountant experience and strong analytical skills. Strong IT skills, in particular Excel, and experience of new IT system implementation would be an advantage, as would knowledge of Oracle. Proactive and enthusiastic by nature, you have the ability and desire to develop within the growing business.
