Job Description

You will be responsible for the preparation of the group management accounts and cash flow. You will also work closely with other members of the team and play a key part in the statutory reporting and audits of all subsidiaries. There will be involvement in the financial evaluation of the business and you will also liaise with the operational managers of the business with the opportunity to really make a meaningful impact on the company performance.
The finance department is going through a transformation project which is re-engineering how we gather data and report, this role will be a key part of this project specifically looking at innovation of accounts production. You will only need to work in the office for two days per week.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the accurate and timely provision of Financial Reporting information.
  • Involvement in the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including the review of journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Accounting for and the reviewing of capital expenditure including the review of the fixed asset register.
  • Assist with the production of information for the statutory audits and statutory financial accounts.
  • Assist in preparing monthly reports and analysis for the Group's strategic partners.
  • Participation and support in the creation of budgets and forecasts for the company and group companies.
  • Assist non finance staff with understanding financial information.
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis and special projects as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
  • 1 year+ Post Qualified Experience.
  • Experience of annual statutory audits.
  • A well rounded accountant with the ability to get into the detail when necessary
  • Excellent Excel skills, including experience of working with substantial volumes of data. Knowledge of Power BI or similar software would be useful
  • Excellent communication skills in order to build strong working relationships across the organization at all levels.
  • Ability to review the work of others and a coaching mentality
  • Have the ability to work with a very high level of accuracy under pressure and to deadline.
  • Ability to manage priorities, often conflicting whilst delivering against tight deadlines.
  • Have the experience and the driving force to see projects through to the end.
