Job Description
  • Coordinating and leading the production of monthly management accounts together with supporting financial analysis and commentary to tight deadlines
  • Production of annual published financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and our specific transparency disclosure requirements
  • The management and co-ordination of the annual statutory audit, and other audit assurance services, together with management of key relationship with our auditors.
  • The preparation and monitoring of annual group budgets together with monthly
    forecasts
  • The preparation of multi-year projections, including cash projections, and scenario analysis
  • The management of all day-to-day aspects of the Group Treasury function including cash/banking and foreign exchange hedging matters
  • The management of treasury policy matters including cash, foreign currency and interest rate exposure
  • The operation of a tax compliance function covering all relevant taxes including PAYE / PRSI, VAT, Withholding Tax, RCT, Corporation Tax including liaising and communication with tax advisors and the Revenue Commissioners
  • The management of Central Shared Services activities including Payroll, Fees, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • The tracking and control of Capital Expenditure
  • Leadership, motivation and management of the Group Finance team
  • The maintenance and review of internal financial controls
  • Financial lead in respect of Freedom of Information requests
  • Working with An Post and DTCAGSM regarding TV license fee sales and operational matters

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You must demonstrate significant expertise across the areas specified above. Very strong accounting, taxation systems and management skills are essential for this position. A thorough, detailed knowledge of both IFRS and of other appropriate current professional accounting and audit standards is also required. Experience in treasury management and banking matters are also desirable.
As this is a key influencing role, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external parties are essential. Strong management and influencing skills are important. A demonstrable ability to manage a number of projects and tasks to tight timelines is a requirement.
