Job Description
Your core duties and responsibilities will be as follows plus any other work that your Line Manager may deem relevant to your job:
- Provide support and maintain the accounts for the RIW UK entities, Swedish entities and Polish entity (Holding and Trading), in line with Local and US Gaap, implement strong controls, balance sheet reconciliations processes and follow up to closure of internal audit and SOX recommendations.
- Support the regional FP&A function as required ensuring meaningful analysis to business performance and insightful decision support information
- Accountable for the preparation, timely completion and filing of company statutory requirements not limited to statutory accounts, tax and VAT filings etc in collaboration with external service providers.
- Assess, develop, implement required control/process enhancements to current processes to drive efficiency, driving transformation of the transactional accounting activities to enable an higher level of effectiveness, efficiency and control
- Accountable for the submission of monthly accounts in a timely and efficient manner as required and working closely with Manilla shared service center
- Liaison with external Financial partners based overseas.
- Drive and ensure compliance with all Group accounting policies
- Build, work and maintain effective working relationships with all Corporate Functions
- Build, maintain effective relationships with both Internal and External auditors as well as managing UK and Sweden audits in line with required deliverables and timetables
- Own the ASC 842 Leasing accounting for the Region and ensure compliance
- Work closely with the Corporate Tax teams driving the Transfer Pricing process
- Other assigned duties as required by Regional Finance Director and UK Finance Controller.
Education
- Qualified/ Certified Accountant and/or proven work experience
- Several years Big 4 experience
- Ideally Graduate or Post Graduate Qualification in business related subject
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar Finance/Accounting controlling role
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills and proven success in building a strong team
- Detail conscious with a hands on approach
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven strong financial and business acumen
- Project Management
- Demonstrated strategic, management, analytical, and organizational skills
- Highly motivated and driven professional, able to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously. Strong work ethic.
- Executive presence and ability to drive results at all levels of the organization
- Advanced PC skills required – Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential
- Expertise with financial systems and tools
- CaseWare knowledge is preferred
- Excellent communication / influencing skills and the ability to work well with colleagues/others departments.
- Knowledge of local regulatory and accounting regulations
- Strong compliance to company values & ethics

- Provide independent and sound opinion on accounting, tax and treasury matters
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local and group policies
- Act as one of the major finance business partners
