Job Description

You will have the opportunity to provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership based on analysis, experience, technical acumen, and good judgment.

• Design and maintain consistent, effective, and controlled processes and frameworks to support the statutory financial statement preparation and financial statement audit process in EMEA.
• Centralize relationship management of our external auditors and key vendors including resource planning, budget control, metrics, performance assessment, and effective governance of financial statement audit escalations.
• Design and implement process controls in line with documented policy and controls framework.
• Ensure process resiliency and effective change management as our processes evolve as a result of system implementations or new challenges as Alphabet continues to grow and mature internationally.
• Partner effectively with other process leads, Country Controllership, finance, and non-finance stakeholders to ensure effective design of international reporting processes. Maintain alignment with external reporting stakeholders and processes internationally.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Professional qualification in CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or related qualification
• Experience working with an accounting practice and/or public multinational tech company
• Experience in process management, implementing governance structures, and reporting frameworks
• Experience in and understanding of International statutory reporting processes and procedures on a large multinational scale
• Knowledge of and ability to work across multiple functions (e.g., Corporate Accounting, Tax, Legal, Vendor Management, and Financial Operations)
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create strategic data-driven recommendations to leadership
• Excellent project management, problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with business judgment and verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
